Add Formula

Add Formula is the process of inputting a new formula with a new assigned formula number to the ISI OD program.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Begin by selecting the COMPONENTS tab from the ISI OD window.
  2. Click on the ADD FORMULA icon.
  3. Input the new FORMULA NUMBER and hit enter.
  4. Enter the PRODUCT NAME and hit enter. (Use the proper description for up-charges.)
  5. Bypass the FORM line by hitting enter.
  6. Input each ingredient to store the formula.
  7. Check if the formula is 100%.
  8. Input the PMS or closest PMS if the color is a special match in the PMS BOX.
    • This auto-populates the BASE PRICE of the ink.
  9. Select the first dropdown menu labeled TYPE and select the type of ink.
    • Formula has GHS, select yes or hit enter.
  10. In the APP dropdown menu select the correct designation.
    • Formula has GHS, select yes or hit enter.
  11. In the dropdown menu labeled COLOR, select the appropriate color.
  12. Move to the ADD CATEGORIES section. Right click and add any applicable up-charges.
    • Take this opportunity to make sure the product name includes the proper description for billing purposes.
    • Adding categories auto-populates the additional charges and the final price.
  13. Enter the LAB values for the color match in the LAB area on the form.
    • Inputting LAB values changes the color wheel in the top right of the formula window.
  14. Move to the DETAILS section and enter each line accordingly.
    • Input the SUBSTRATE and hit enter.
    • Input what the ink was MATCHED too and hit enter.
    • Input the customer name and job number in the JOB line.
    • Input your INITIALS and hit enter.
  15. Input any important information in the FORMULA NOTES section
  16. Input any special directions in the BATCH INSTRUCTIONS section.
  17. PRINT a hard copy.
  18. Close the window and select SAVE so the formula is catalogued digitally for future use.
